The Furry Rascals - Pet Portraits by Jo in Cyprus

Welcome to the Gallery.

I work mainly in soft pastels for Pet and Children Portraits, hand painted from photographs. I use a combination of high quality soft pastels and stabilo pastel pencils for the finer details, for their light-fastness and intensity of colour. I tend to use Canson Mi-Teintes Pastel Paper or Daler-Rowney Ingres Pastel Paper, both acid-free which allows the portrait to retain it's true colours and avoid the risk of discolouration and deterioration over time.
